Old Regime

During the Old Regime period, France was led by king, Louis XVI, who had political, economic and social power.The

French Revolution was divided into 3 classes. The 1st class was clergy, which is concidered to be rich and poor.The second

class is nobility, and the third is middle class and common people, which was the largest, poorest group in France.

Old Regime is decribing societies and institutions of France before 1789. French societies and politics were established between

the 14th century to the 18th century of the Old Regime.
